I can already feel spring summer approaching. It might very well be wishful thinking, but sooner or later it will be here.
Summer brings with it everything light. Light layers, light and bright colours and light attitudes and best of all we lighten up on the make up we wear, both in colour and in application. Say goodbye to the heavy reds and velvety rouges that signify winter and hello to the light nude hues that signal the arrival of spring and summer. Yay!
NORMAL NUDES
The Lip shade to try this summer is definitely the “nude” or what I like to call the “light lip”. I know that “nude lips” have had quite the run over the last many many years… starting from the “Jenny from the block” aka Jennifer Lopez era when she broke out a SUPER glossy wet version of nude lips to the Kylie Jenner EXTREME matte version on which she has literally built her beauty empire.
This spring summer season we are taking out the “extreme” versions of the nude lips /lipstick and hanging somewhere in the very comfortable and flattering middle. This season nude the lipstick isn’t oily and it isn’t dry. It’s soft, fluffy, casually sexy if you will. The way the I believe nude lip was intended. There is so much out there to chose from it can get confusing. I have selected and curated the “Nudes” I think exemplify this coming spring summer perfectly.
MATTE NUDES
The “Matte” nudes lipsticks I have selected for you to shop are a comfortable matte. Nothing that will leave you with dry and chapped lips. Rather they will leave you with the casually sexy variety. *wink
BUDGET NUDES
The lipstick I am wearing in the pictures, is my very favourite at the moment. I think I am on to my second one already. You know its a good one if you have to repurchase! And even better it is from BOUJOIS (shade ROUGE VELVET) which I have selected in my budget line up for you to click and shop if you love the look!
