With things starting to open up again and our freedom in this new world we find ourselves slowing returning, we are again starting to dream about maybe taking a vacation. But with that comes the how to pack and what to wear questions?!

Get the foundation right
Many women get so caught up in the idea of just looking fabulous (for pictures) they forget about packing practical basic things.
Your basics, your vacay fundamentals- are your foundation. Your swimming suits, hats, glasses, beach bag runners etc. When thinking of what to wear and pack on vacation, think about and what you are planning to do when you get there. Is this a lay by the pool sipping cocktails all day kind of break or are you planning on going for walks and exploring around the vacation spot. Are you attending any parties or celebrating and big events? Start your edit from there
DO be PRACTICAL
Yes its hard in the day of instagram to pack with practicality (its all about the picture) but do try. A vacation is usually taken to let your hair down and relax. Most of your packing has to be about things that are effortless and not hard work. Things that are not “dry- clean- only” basically pack things that can be washed in the hotel laundry if need be. Think about fabrics that won’t wrinkle too much in your suitcase.
DO pack things that you can mix and match
The idea is that most of what you pack could be worn mixed and matched with everything you brought with you. Rule of thumb, each Item can be worn with three other things in your suitcase or in three ways.
For example, your denim shorts could preferably be worn with swimsuit to the pool, a linen top for a casual day walk exploring and just as easily paired with dressier top for the dinner at that fancy beachside restaurant in the evening.
Do INVEST in a couple of great resort and vacation wear items.
Spend money on a piece you can whip out season after season and look amazing and something that wouldn’t go out of style. Do not invest in “trendy”, but rather gorgeous and super flattering for your body (shape and size)
When you find your piece trust me its worth it, because you’ll go back to it again and again. Its all about that cost per wear … no?
